AFetch is an Android video downloading tool available to users worldwide. We take user privacy seriously and follow a data minimization principle — collecting only the minimum information necessary to provide our services.

When you choose to enable the Privacy Protection feature, you may optionally provide an email address solely for the purpose of local PIN recovery, we may collect:

• Email address (This email address is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to our servers)

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

To ensure the App functions properly and to prevent abuse, we may automatically collect:

• Device information (including but not limited to device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers)
• App version number and crash logs (used solely for diagnosing technical issues)

Locally Stored Data (never transmitted to our servers):

• Browsing history within the App's built-in browser
• Download task list and download records
• PIN code and associated recovery email address, if you choose to enable the Privacy Protection feature

All of the above data exists solely on your device. We have no ability to access, view, or retrieve this information.

2.3 Information Collected by Advertising Services

We may display advertisements provided by Google AdMob and other advertising platforms. These services may collect:

• Advertising identifiers (e.g., Google Advertising ID)
• Device information for ad targeting purposes
• Ad interaction data (e.g., impressions and clicks)

The collection and use of such data are governed by the respective privacy policies of those advertising providers, not this App. You may opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings.

2.4 Information We Do Not Collect

We explicitly commit that the following information will never be collected and transmitted to any server:

• Web page content or URLs you browse
• Content, file names, or metadata of videos you download
• Your download history
• Your geographic location
• Other files or media library content on your device

Browsing history and download records are stored locally on your device only and are never collected by or transmitted to our servers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To verify user identity and prevent account abuse
• To improve App performance and fix technical issues
• To support the operation of free features through advertising revenue

We do not use your personal information for targeted advertising (ad targeting is managed independently by third-party ad platforms), and we do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

4. User Control Over Local Data

All locally stored data (browsing history, download records, privacy settings, and PIN recovery email) can be permanently deleted by the user at any time through the App's settings. Uninstalling the App will also remove all locally stored data from your device. We cannot recover this data on your behalf.

5. Local Processing Principle

The core functionality of AFetch operates entirely on your local device:

• Video link parsing (including HLS, DASH protocols, and direct video sources) is performed within the local WebView and does not pass through our servers
• File download tasks are executed locally via the device foreground service
• Downloaded videos are saved by default to the system media library on your device (you may change the save path in App settings)
• Our servers do not participate in any download process and cannot access the content you download

6. Data Storage and Security

We take reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect your personal information:

• Account information is transmitted and stored using encryption
• We retain data only for the minimum period necessary to provide services
• We retain crash logs and technical diagnostic data only for the minimum period necessary, typically no longer than 90 days.

While we make every effort to protect your information, please note that no internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

7. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share necessary information in the following limited circumstances:

• Google AdMob and other ad platforms: Required to display advertisements, subject to their respective privacy policies
• Legal requirements: When required by lawful government orders, court subpoenas, or applicable law
• Protection of rights: When necessary to protect the legitimate interests of us or our users

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), we will request your consent before displaying personalized advertisements. You may withdraw consent or opt out of personalized ads at any time through your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads).

8. Children's Privacy

This App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Union). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details below and we will promptly delete the relevant data.
